Dave Myers is well established performing for almost forty years in the Hudson Valley region including shows & parties solo, with small and large ensembles in the Catskill resorts - Granit, Pines, Nevele, Kutsher's, Villa Roma, Grossinger's, Concord, Mohonk Mountain House - hundreds of restaurants, community centers, municipal concerts, wedding ceremonies and receptions – pianist Hotel Thayer (West Point NY)- twelve years as musical director for 'in-house' productions Bodles Opera House (Chester NY) as well as private functions, church service musician and school chorus / theater accompanist. Dave attended Berklee College of Music (Boston Mass) before serving in the U.S Army with the United States Military Academy Band (West Point).

As a solo entertainer or with select small ensembles, Dave brings a distinct musical twist to popular music from the 60's & 70's. With a strong piano (keyboard) foundation and a natural, decidedly deep voice, Dave sings tunes known from the era embellished with a mix of pop, jazz, country and a touch of classical accompaniment.

Wedding Receptions

A musical mix is often requested; typically, live music for cocktail hour and dinner then mobile DJ for much of the traditional celebration and dancing. Best of both, music only experienced in a live performance with expeditious interpretation of musical form, style, dynamics and more; an interaction between listeners and performers, molding the performance to compliment the event, never seeming to leave the core intent of the composition(s). Later, familiar recorded pop music, foretold performances. Also, Dave often provides music for wedding ceremonies.

Solo Piano for cocktails and dining

Familiar melodies from The Great American Song Book, Standards, Songs from Broadway, popular ballads of the late 20th century and more. Requests taken for favorites in an elegant setting. Dave began playing for such sophisticated audiences in the 70's & 80's as pianist at Thayer Hotel (West Point NY). These days for a few select, elegant venues providing a finishing touch for a wonderful meal. Sometimes, later in the evening, also singing popular songs if/as appropriate.

Music Notation

Dave uses scorewriter technology for private custom projects creating works for any size ensemble; from full orchestra scores and parts to simple lead sheets. Instrumental recordings may also be produced. Notation formats include Sibelius (Scorch), MusicXML and Portable Document Format (PDF) delivered online for wider distribution if required.
